The Trilobyte is a multifunction dual spectrum intrinsically safe beacon.
The family of Police Trilobytes is designed with visual spectrums in a single beacon. The current model includes 3 visual spectrums frequencies and 3 special police strobe patterns.
Using AA batteries, the user can have positive active capabilities in any environment. Using visual advanced LED technology the Trilobyte can be detected in the day, night, and limited visibility scenarios.
The Trilobyte builds on the successes and technology designed and built into the VIPIR initially designed over 20 years ago for US Special Operations Forces requiring ruggedized marking beacons. Since then we have provided our beacons to over 24 countries around the world. Our beacons have and continue to be in use on multiple global battlefields. With the advancements in LED and circuitry, we have been able to provide improved technologies that now allow for synchronization between beacons for signature management, designation of specific flash patterns in both visual and IR to delineate roles and missions between users, and facilitate programming while in use in the field without any additional equipment required.
Our latest synchronization technology allows the Trilobyte to interact with each other in a secure mesh network. This is useful for small unit tactical units and allows us to provide systems for use to differentiate numerous groups by roles and missions.
