Most breachers know bisection is the name of the game. Our military friends came to us for some help with a design that kept their two chargers separate, and of course, we listened and helped. What came from this partnership is our Breacher Front Flap.
Like our other front flaps for our Thor Plate carriers, it acts as the cummerbund attachment point and front flap for magazines, tools, or whatever you might need a MOLLE panel for. The difference is that this front flap incorporates pockets for the detonation cord and a secure pocket for igniters/fuses. Once your charges are made up, the cord can be spooled and placed in its respective pocket and the igniter/fuse can be placed in their secure elastic holders. Once the charge is placed, the breacher can move back, allowing the set cord to back feed from its pouch while still maintaining positive control of the igniter/fuse. The design is bisected so that the right side charge always matches with the right side cord and igniter/fuse, the same for the left side. This reduces user error in high-stress situations helping to ensure everyones safety from cross-over detonations.
For breachers needing multiple charges, we made this flap a little more modular by adding a top zipper. To quickly change to a loaded Breacher Front Flap, the breacher simply needs to unzip the empty Breacher Front Flap, pull it away, zip on the new flap, and attach it down.
