This tool is held to the same high standards as the original Double-Tap breaching hammers, but we use more cost-effective materials and a different head design. It does not incorporate the floating mass inside the head and
the shaft is stainless steel, which replaces the titanium shaft. This reduces the cost with no reduction in performance and with only 1.2 lb. of added weight. It uses the same handle and locking system that has proven effective in the original tool. The head is machined from high-quality heat-treated 4140 carbon steel and has ridges cut into the face that helps grip the target and prevents tool slippage.
Light Double-Tap Hammer: Our Light Weight hammer is the lightest breaching hammer on the market. It was specifically designed for the Special Operations community where its lightweight provides a tactical advantage. Its premium collet chuck locking handle and Ti - 6Al - 4V Alpha-beta titanium shaft ensures that it will
stand up to the harsh breaching environment. The head uses our patented Double-Tap technology that delivers more impact force into your target and helps to reduce vibration in the handle. This allows the operator to carry a lighter tool, reducing his overall load. The head is constructed of high-grade heat-treated aluminum, which has stood up to the abusive tactical breaching environment and has proven to last for a very long time. Intermediate Double-Tap Hammer: The Intermediate Weight hammer has our premium line of handles and is considered to be the average weight for a tactical breaching hammer. The head uses our patented double-Tap technology and is constructed from high-quality heat-treated 4140 carbon steel. The shaft is Ti - 6Al - 4V Alpha-beta titanium, which reduces its total weight while adding to its strength and portability.
Heavy Double-Tap Hammer: The Heavy Weight Hammer is the heaviest of our premium line of tools. It features a high-strength stainless steel shaft, a heat-treated 4140 carbon steel head, our patented DoubleTap technology, and a premium locking handle. This tool is used when maximum energy is required and has been
proven to be effective against class 3 exterior doors, block walls, and light reinforced concrete walls.
